Sample of “The Courage to Believe” page/poster. This is open to drivers everywhere, not just those in California. We’ll also be asking the trucking and transit folks to join, as we are all inextricably linked to the same future goals. If you would like to participate, please send me a photo of the driver, family, pets, etc. in front of your fuel cell vehicle by Nov. 16. These will form a collag
Looks like a good opportunity to attend and let folks know that LD FCEVs have a "symbiotic relationship" with our Heavy-Duty friends. Buy tickets at: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/lionsautomobiliafoundation/1342477 Please, as a favor, let me also know if you will be attending. Thanks, Greg Cane, President greg@h2tonps.org
. . . on these important bills. See Legislative Update in Newsletter Section. (UPDATE: AS OF 9/20/24, THESE FOUR BILLS HAVE NOT YET BEEN SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR.)
Please take part in this important event. Our voices are critical in order to make the changes that are needed in the availability of H2 refueling and cost. Often, we hear (from those that know more than us) that it does little good to grumble to one another; we must let those who can make a difference know that we are here, and that we have legitimate concerns. This is one of those opportunities. Download the workshop announcement page here. https://efiling.energy.ca.gov/Lists/DocketLog.aspx?docketnumber=22-HYD-01 This is a remote access only event, but we can comment during the workshop, or in writing. The Zoom link is included in the announcement. – Greg Cane ( greg@h2tonps.org)
With 2 out of the 3 H2 stations closed, FCEV drivers in the Sacramento area are due for some good news. The permit for a mobile on-site hydrogen fueler to be located at Roseville Toyota was recently approved. As stated in the approval documents:
“This unit is requested in support of the Toyota Mirai Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle. Currently, there is a very limited number of local hydrogen fueling stations throughout the Sacramento area. To meet customer refueling needs, Toyota Motor Sales is offering to Roseville Toyota dealership a DOT-certified, hydrogen mobile refueling unit—manufactured and maintained by Air Products—to be placed temporarily on the dealership lot to refuel the vehicles for temporary use. While this is a temporary solution, it will go a long way to ensure Mirai drivers have an option to refuel at a location with which they are comfortable and is operated by a trained technician.”
While the dispenser pressure is 35 MPa, this unit will help drivers through these tough times. It is not clear at this time when the mobile fueler will become operational. A large thank you to Toyota and Air Products for this interim relief. - Greg Cane
