There are approximately 14,000 hydrogen cars on the road in California today. No other state has a significant number of these vehicles.
There are currently numerous agencies, businesses and organizations promoting hydrogen in a clean energy future. There is, however, no group that advocates for hydrogen car drivers in California. It is undeniable that the lack of reliable hydrogen fueling infrastructure in California is single handedly thwarting the success of these cars in the U.S. The first goal of California Hydrogen Car Owners Association (CHCOA) will be to advocate for the improved reliability of existing hydrogen fueling stations, and to promote the construction of new stations.
To build upon the great foundation created by the current hydrogen car owners’ groups by diligently and courteously advocating for hydrogen cars and hydrogen car drivers in California.

Those who drive hydrogen-fueled cars, or those who are interested in these cars and their role in California’s clean energy future are welcomed to join.
